Hip Butterfly
HIP BUTTERFLY
This is a closed chain hip abduction exercise used to strengthen the hip. Pin a stability ball against the wall with your knee and maintain the applied pressure while rotating that hip outwards. Isolate the rotation to the hip joint by keeping your torso squared with your pelvis during this exercise. Doing this will also help to uncouple or dissociate movement at the hip from the spine.
