Banded Robots

BANDED ROBOTS

This is an upper back and shoulder strengthening and stability exercise. This exercise may be done standing or seated. If standing loop an exercise band around a stable object like a pole, handrail or squat rack. If seated then loop the band around one foot and squeeze it together with your feet. Pull the band back by squeezing your shoulder blades together. Start with your hands at roughly shoulder height and proceed to raise the arms upwards and overhead. Be sure to keep the elbows stacked directly below the wrists to keep the forearm vertical to the ground.
