Thoracic Extension

THORACIC EXTENSION

This is an upper back extension strengthening exercise. Start by lying down on your stomach with your hands behind your head. Raise your elbows off the floor and squeeze your shoulder blades together as you extend your upper spine. Make sure you keep your lower ribs on the ground to minimize lumbar spine extension involvement.

  • Multifidus

  • Thoracic Erector Spinae

  • Rhomboid

  • Trapezius
