Dowel Thoracic Extension

DOWEL THORACIC EXTENSION

This is a dowel assisted stretch to improve shoulder flexion and thoracic extension. Hold a broomstick or dowel in front of you while on your knees and sitting on your heels. Lean forward without raising your hips off of your heels to isolate the spinal extension to the upper and mid back. Hold the stretch for 3-5 breaths and return to start.
