Toe Block Calf Raise

TOE BLOCK CALF RAISE

This is a plantar fascia and calf strengthening exercise that uses a foam pad to deepen great toe dorsiflexion to trigger the Windlass mechanism. Place a foam wedge or yoga under the big toe while standing on one leg. Raise the heel off of the ground as much as possible and hold for up to 5 seconds. You may use a wall or chair to assist you in balancing if needed.
