Banded Archers

BANDED ARCHERS

This exercise is both a mobility and strengthening upper back exercise that targets the thoracic spine and the scapular retractors. For this exercise be sure to keep the pelvis squared forward to help isolate the movement to the upper back and away from the hips.

Muscles Involved:

  • Rhomboids

  • Trapezius

  • Rear Deltoids / Posterior Deltoids

  • Rotator Cuff

  • Multifidus

  • Obliques

Related Conditions:

  • Costovertebral or Costotransverse Joint Irritation

  • Rotator Cuff Tear

  • Upper Cross Syndrome

  • Headaches

  • Upper Back Pain
