Half Kneel Woodchop

HALF KNEEL WOODCHOP

The half knee woodchop exercise is used to strengthen the obliques in trunk rotation. Start by anchoring a band to a stable object above your head and half knee beside it. Holding the band with both arms, rotate the torso without extending or flexing it. Keep the leg closest to the anchor point in front of you and be sure to use a pad to protect your knees from the floor. When initiating the movement, start with your hands above your shoulders and pull it downwards to the opposite hip.
