Shoulder Flexion Table Slide
SHOULDER FLEXION TABLE SLIDE
This is an assisted active range of motion exercise that is focused on improving shoulder flexion by stretching the shoulder extensors. Start by sitting in front of a table so that your chest is in line with the edge and place your hand on the table. Keep your hand and elbow in line with shoulder directly in front of you. Lean forwards while simultaneously sliding your hand out. You may engage the rotator cuff by pressing downwards with your hand while sliding out - this is more easily done with a hand towel placed underneath your hand. Maintain the downward pressure as you slide your arm back in while returning to an upright sit position.
