PLATE SHRUGS
The plate shrug exercise is used to strengthen the scapular elevators. This exercise can be completed while sitting or standing. This exercise requires weights to use as resistance such as dumbbells, kettlebells, or weight plates. Hold a weight in each hand. Begin the exercise by shrugging your shoulders as high as possible. Hold the top position for up to 2 seconds before returning to a rested position by slowly lowering the shoulders.
