Child’s Pose
CHILD’S POSE
This is a low back stretch exercise that is adapted from yoga. The child's pose is a restorative yoga pose that can be beneficial for people of all levels of experience. To begin, come down onto your hands and knees with your wrists directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. As you exhale, slowly start to lower your torso and forehead to the floor. Place your arms stretched out in front of you. To deepen the stretch, you can walk your hands forward. Allow your entire body to relax into the pose and breathe deeply. Hold the pose for as long as you feel comfortable before slowly returning to an upright position. Child's pose is an excellent way to stretch the back and hips, and it can also help to calm the mind and relieve stress. Give it a try next time you need a break from your busy day.
