Elevated Child’s Pose Side Stretch

ELEVATED CHILD’S POSE SIDE STRETCH
The elevated childs pose side stretch is used to target the lateral line muscles in the mid and low back. First set up a padded surface like a yoga mat and place it perpendicular to an exercise bench or couch. Kneel onto the mat and place both hands on bench and lean forwards until your hands are overhead relative to your body. Place one hand on top of the other and lean your rib cage away from your hands. Feel a stretch into the side of your torso. Hold this stretch for 2 minutes and switch sides as required.
